on my desk monday

So many cute knobs! I'm trying to decide which ones I want to use for my drawers in my brand-new studio!

It took us a long time to find a house. Originally, I had dreams a la Return to Gone-Away Lake-- finding an old fixer-upper and bringing it back to life while it making it our own. However, as time went on, I realized that I didn't even have enough time to even go and get my haircut--renovating a house was not realistic.  But I still want to make this my House of Dreams (or rather my House of Dreams on A Limited Budget) so we are adding a lot of personal touches, including a new studio with cute knobs! Which ones should I choose?

I'd use them all! It would be so quaint and whimsical. Congrats on your new home!

Oh my gosh! I am a knob addict. I have two of those pictured! I have them on my radiator cover doors! I mix and match. Don't get me started! xoxox

You are a smart lady to know what you can and can't take on at the moment! We bought our house when our older daughter was 2 years old -- we had six weeks between our closing and move-in dates to pull up rugs, strip wallpaper, pull down hung ceilings, paint every wall and trim, and sand the floors. We worked in 12 hours shifts! I'm still recovering. 11 years later. And we're still working on it! The knobs are gorgeous -- are they from Anthropologie? They have some lovely ones! Many congratulations on your new house! xo

Love the one on the far right! But I agree--they would look cute all mixed up together. Matching is overrated :)

I agree! Mix them up. I thought they were a set...

Do you plan to be at the SCBWI winter conference this year in NYC? I am attending, and I thought I read somewhere that you were going. If so, I'd love to meet you. My nieces are 8 and 5, have a Chinese lineage, and LOVE your work. My eight-year-old boy is currently reading WHEN THE MOUNTAIN MEETS THE MOON and adores it - carries it everywhere.

I will come bearing letters for you from the girls, if you will be there. I know they can mail the letters, but let's face facts: I'll earn enormous aunt points by delivering them in person.

Hope you are well!

Amanda

Thanks, all! Yes, the knobs are from Anthropologie. I wish I could use all of them, but I only need two...

Amanda--unfortunately, I don't plan on being at the conference. With the baby, my travel has been cut down quite a bit! You'll have a great time, though--that conference is a lot of fun.

Grace, I cracked up when I saw your post, because I fell in love with the same knobs recently and ordered one for my bedside table! I went with the dark blue one (second from the right)and LOVE it. I'm sure whichever you choose will look SPLENDID!

But wait! I stand corrected! The one I ordered is the "green" (which is funny because it's primarily blue) "Singular Bloom Knob": http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/search/25423799.jsp?cm_vc=SEARCH_RESULTS

It's BEAUTIFUL in person!

Ha, Allison this is extra funny because all my decoration ideas are taken from your "apartment inspiration" board on pinterest. I think I pretty much repin everything you put up!
