small graces...the LAST painting

This proverb has always been a favorite of mine, but it took me quite a while for me to truly puzzle out the meaning. To me, I finally realized, this proverb means "remember, feeding your soul is just as important as feeding your body." It is a reminder to value your spirit.

Which I thought was apropos for the December painting, this very last painting I am doing for the small graces project. This project is has been very valuable to my spirit and I hope to yours too!

This painting goes on auction on NOW! So go and BID, BID, BID!

And don't forget you can also purchase small graces prints from Child At Heart! They are the perfect holiday gifts--I keep thinking the Sept. one would be lovely for a child's teacher--but timing for holiday shipping is waning so get your order in soon(like now)!

Love your artwork, Grace. We would be so thrilled to have you join the Maud Hart Lovelace list. I've been on it since 1997...If you google Betsy Tacy you can read about the doings of the Society, but you don't have to join that to be part of maud-L...

We've had many group reads over the years and a number of conventions with wonderful speakers. Anna Quindlen was probablymy favorite with her keynote address about "Betsy Ray - Feminist Icon". Last summer a convention in Mankato was held.........

At the moment we are in the midst of our tradtional ornament exchange where we sent one another ornaments from one character to another. There may be too high a volume of mail for you and once you join you can switch to digest...

Just send an email to listserv@listserver.mtsac.edu. In the BODY of the message type:

subscribe Maud-L Yourfirstname Yourlastname

and don't put anything afterwards. If your email automatically uses a signature, try to eliminate it for this message.

Our computer whiz Jessica Weissman said, "If she or anyone else has trouble subscribing, have her email me. I can manually subscribe her." Let me know if you need help.

I truly hope you will join, busy as you are. We would be so honored....The group has loads of librarians on it (and some authors from time to time) and book lovers of all ages. You would probably feel right at home.
